Updated British Greens Pix

British Grenadiers

British Centre Company Rank & File
The two pictures above illustrate the modifications that we made to the recent batch of British grenadier and centre company figures in the Fife & Drum range. The figures now have the rectangular metal canteen and we added tumplines to a majority of the figures. I decided to keep at least one marching pose for the centre and the grenadier rank and file without the tumpline, for those who like their soldiers in light kit.

I particularly like the new picture of the grenadiers, as this picture shows more of the detail and a different angle than we had in the initial picture. The firing and at the ready poses really stir my imagination as to how a firing line would look with these fine fellows.

The greens will be sent to the caster next week and I should have a better idea of when the master moulds and production moulds will be made. In any event, it won't be long now.

The British (Greens) Are Coming!

Today I received some pictures from Richard Ansell showing the next batch of 16 figures that we will be adding to the Fife & Drum range very soon. This new set includes British centre company and grenadier company figures, plus two stylish mounted officers. The greens will be sent to the caster soon and hopefully we can get these fellows into production very quickly. I would imagine that this would be sometime in February 2012, but don't hold me to that until I speak to the fellows handling the production end of things. :)

So let us see what we have in the pipeline. First of all, there are 8 British centre company figures in the adapted campaign uniform, as used in the 1777 campaign and on through the end of the war. Thus you can use the same figures for the Philadelphia/Monmouth campaign as well as for the Southern Theatre with Greene and Cornwallis testing each other's mettle.
